Main Street PMC: A one-of-a-kind health village for older adults

MainStreet PMC Rendering

The Health Village at Main Street PMC is the only healthcare healing environment of its kind, combining a small-town atmosphere with compassionate, skilled and specialized outpatient care for older adults, developing and delivering services that help adults age with grace, poise and confidence.

The Main Street PMC project involves the relocation of historic houses onto the Parrish Medical Center campus and the building of new structures to resemble old buildings to house offices, services and programs for older adults-in one location where seniors will feel comfortable when seeking medical care.

Pamela Tronetti, DO, AGSF, a highly trained geriatrician, is the Medical Director for Main Street PMC and runs the Parrish Senior Consultation Center (PSCC), the flagship program for the health village. At its temporary location on Century Medical Drive near Parrish Medical Center, Dr. Tronetti and her staff are dedicated to helping to improve the health and well being of older patients. The Center uses a team approach to thoroughly evaluate patients, providing specialized consultative geriatric care that helps the patient and their caregivers.

Programs or services planned for The Health Village include:

  • Parrish Senior Solutions - offers referrals and provides information and/or services to help bridge the gap between North Brevard medical and social service organizations and programs.
  • Direct Access Lab Testing and Blood Draw Station offers a convenient location for anyone to get outpatient lab tests
  • Palliative Care - a holistic approach to manage the symptoms of the chronically or terminally ill.
  • Other Clinic and Office Space - For such services as adult mental health, complementary medicine, rehabilitation, and podiatry or a senior focused medical day spa or bookstore.
  • The Medical Equipment Store - source for medical supplies through local business partnerships.
  • The Community Center - Multi-use space to be used for health related seminars, lifelong learning opportunities, exercise classes, health screenings, support groups, or other community events.
  • A Healthy Eatery - A place for seniors and their caregivers to relax, socialize and get a light meal or snack before or after their medical appointments.
  • Children's Museum - to provide an opportunity for children and adults to positively interact through experiential educational opportunities.
  • Inn & Hospitality House - lodging for visitors with a hospitalized family member or for others who wish to stay close by to Parrish Medical Center
  • Transportation Program - Provides transportation to and from Main Street PMC or Parrish Medical Center for those who have no other means of transportation.
  • The Philanthropy Center - Jess Parrish Medical Foundation offices located at Main Street PMC to inspire further philanthropy in support of the program.

The Health Village at Main Street PMC is a healing environment that combines the ambiance and attractiveness of a small town setting with compassionate, skilled and specialized care for older adults. It is the right answer and the perfect environment for older adults to receive healthcare that will enable them to enjoy life today and in the future.
